Mizen Head to Malin Head Charity Cycle 2006

Joe Barr one of Ireland's greatest cyclist, took on a challenge along with 29 competitors to raise funds for the National Council for the Blind N. I. C.B. this year. Their challenge was to cycle all the way from Mizen Head to Malin Head non stop, a total of 363 miles. Joe approached us here in Kamp-Easi and explained exactly what they wanted to do. What made this event so difficult was not only the distance but also, the fact they all had to complete the cycle in under 24 hours. We had no hesitation and decided to help them on their journey by providing them with a Kamp Easi motorhome for the duration of the challenge. We are delighted to say that Joe and all his fellow competitors completed the distance in 20 hours, 55 minutes and 53 seconds.
Along with raising much need funds for the N.I.C.B. completing the journey was a personal achievement for each and every one of the competitors. Kamp-Easi were honoured to be part of it.
